Overview

Below are step-by-step instructions for uploading and syncing clicker grades with your Canvas gradebook. Choose the set of instructions that match your delivery method. For additional information, faculty can register for a Clicker Self-Service Training Resource on Canvas.

IMPORTANT
For students, licenses are provided through the UT Technology Fee. Students must register a PointSolutions account with Echo 360. If they do not register, their score will report as an unidentified device and will not be associated with their account until they register. Once a student registers, each session in which the student had not been registered would need to be manually updated by the instructor after they are registered. This is why we suggest having a cut-off date for registration in your syllabus. Please note, if you need to update grades manually, please update them in the PointSolutions app first and then upload to Canvas. If you update grades manually in Canvas and then need to re-upload the file from PointSolutions, any manual changes you made in Canvas will be overwritten for all students in the class.
If you choose to require physical clickers, students will need to purchase a physical clicker from the VolShop.

PointSolutions Web or PointSolutions Web App

When using PointSolutions Web or PointSolutions Web App, grades are stored in and automatically synced from your PointSolutions Instructor Account. Below are instructions for manually adjusting and syncing grades:

Go to instructor.turningtechnologies.com and sign in to your account.
From your Active Courses menu, select the Course to update.
Within the Course, select the Results tab.
Click the Export button, and from the dropdown menu, select Canvas to export your grades to Canvas.
