Connecting to the eduroam wireless network | iOS (iPhone/iPad)

iOS is a mobile operating system used by Apple devices such as an iPhone and iPad. The following instructions will guide you through connecting to the eduroam network on your iOS device.

  1. Navigate to the ‘Settings’ menu on your iOS device.
     
  2. Click the ‘Wi-Fi’ option towards the top of the settings list.

     
  3. Ensure Private Addressing is disabled for the EDUROAM network.
    1. Tap the "i" to the right of the network name.
    2. Toggle the Private Addressing setting to the disabled position.
  4. Tap on the ‘eduroam’ network
  5. Log in with your UT credentials:
    • Username
      1. Faculty / Staff: netid@utk.edu
      2. Students: netid@vols.utk.edu
    • Password: NetID Password
       
  6. Tap ‘Join’ in the upper right of the screen.

     
  7. A certificate message may appear from radius.ns.utk.edu, tap ‘Trust’ in the upper right corner of the screen.

     
  8. A checkmark will appear to the left of eduroam on the Wi-Fi menu once the connection is successful.
