T-Storage: Map T-Storage (H: and I:) Drives (macOS)

macOS Instructions

  1. From Finder, select the Go menu, then Connect to Server (You can also use the keyboard shortcut Command+K)
  2. Type in the appropriate address below to connect to your T-storage:
    • For your Home Directory: smb://tshome.utk.edu/home/netid
      • **In the path above, replace the text "netid"  with your personal NetID.
    • For your Departmental Share: smb://tstorage.utk.tennessee.edu/depts$
    • **Note 1: You can click the + after entering the drive name to save the path for future use**
    • connect to server
  3. Log in with your NetID and Password.
    enter your username and password
  4. Your T-Storage drive will now show up on your desktop. Double-click on the drive to access your files.
    If you do not see your T-Storage drive on your desktop, proceed to step 5.

  5. Follow these steps if you do not see your T-Storage drive on your desktop: 
    1. From Finder, click Finder in the upper left corner of your screen. 
    2. Click Settings.
    3. Under General, click the box next to Connected Servers. Your T-Storage drive should now appear on your desktop.

**Note: If you are unable to map your network drive, make sure you are connecting to the campus network using a wired connection or connecting to the EDUROAM wireless network. If you are located off-campus, you will need to connect to the UTK VPN prior to mapping the drive.
