Zoom: Edit Recording

Overview

Only Zoom Cloud Recordings can be edited in Zoom. Editing is limited to trimming the beginning and end of a meeting in Zoom. If you need to remove sections in the middle of a meeting or need to edit a local recording, you will need to use third-party editing software. Zoom recommends ScreenFlow, Camtasia, iMovie, or video solutions in Adobe Creative Cloud.

Instructions

Edit a Zoom Cloud Recording:

  1. Go to tennessee.zoom.us and select Create or Edit Account to log in.
  2. Go to Recordings.
  3. Under Cloud Recordings, click on the name of the meeting you would like to edit.
  4. Click the video. This will open a new tab and play the recording.
  5. In the lower left-hand corner of the recording, click the scissor icon.
    • A pop-up will appear informing you that any changes you make to the playback range will only apply to the shareable link version of the recording. If you download and share the recording or enable downloads for viewers, the whole recording will be available.
  6. Click and drag the sliding icons at the bottom of the recording to change the beginning and/or end time.
  7. Click Save. You can now share the link to the edited recording.
