Panopto: Add Content to Canvas Using Embed Code

If you recently received an embed code for a Panopto video catalog from OIT's Digital Media Services (DMS), you'll want to follow these directions to properly insert it into your Canvas course.

Placing the Embed Code in Canvas or on a Webpage

Once you have received an embed code from DMS, you'll want to embed it on a page within your Canvas course if you'd like for your students to view the films it contains. To do this, follow these instructions:

1. Create a new Canvas page or edit a current Canvas page using the Rich Content Editor in your desired Canvas course.

2. Select Insert and then Embed. 

   

3. Paste the embed code in the window and click Submit.

4. Click the Save button on the page (or module, announcement, assignment, or otherwise) to save your changes and your Panopto catalog will appear on the page as embedded content.
