When setting up YuJa Verity, instructors can choose between two proctoring methods: Automated Proctoring or Live Proctoring. Both methods can be used with Canvas Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes.
Automated Proctoring is not live monitoring. Test-takers will not be monitored during their assessment. Instead, instructors can enable settings to monitor and record test-taker activities while taking the assessment and flag any suspicious behavior. Instructors can review any recordings, flags, etc., through Verity Results.
Live Proctoring allows instructors to monitor test-takers in real-time. When setting up YuJa Verity Live Proctoring, instructors can create a live session period and assign proctors to monitor students taking the test. Before the start of the test, students can register for their live assessment time. Instructors can still enable settings found in Automated Proctoring, including using the Browser Extension or the Desktop Lockdown Module.
