Microsoft Teams: Managing Notifications in your Profile Settings and Channels

Overview

This short article will introduce you to and show you how to revise the Notification settings within your Teams Profile and within Channels.

Review all Notification Settings for your Profile and Channels. It is recommended you initially leave the default settings so you avoid missing any important information.

Instructions

Notifications within Profile Settings

1. Select Settings and More ellipsis (...) in the upper right corner the Teams window.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select Notifications and Activity.

Revise settings as preferred; however, we recommend using the default settings so you do not miss any important information.

Notifications in Channels

1. Select the Channel's More Actions ellipsis (...).

2. Select Channel Notifications.

4. Select Save.

 

Missed Activity Email Notifications

This setting will send an email to your Outlook inbox based on the selected setting.

Activity Notifications

The Activity icon will indicate when there has been activity within Teams.
