Microsoft Teams Polls: Retrieving Your Polling Data

Overview

This article will walk you through accessing the polling data from a poll created and run within a chat, channel, or Teams meeting.

Instructions

  1. Select the app launcher from the upper left corner of a Microsoft 365 application.

  2. Select Forms. If Forms is not in your immediate list, select Explore All Your Apps and select Forms from the full list of applications.

  3. Your Teams Poll will be accessible from the Recent or My Forms tab.
  4. Select the desired Poll.

  5. Select Responses.
    Question and Responses tab within Microsoft Forms.

 

Poll Results Summary

Your Polls Results Summary will display the number of responses, the average time to complete the poll, and the Poll's status.

  • Selecting View Results will allow you to view each respondent's submission.
  • More Details will provide a table of the results.
  • Selecting Open in Excel will download a copy to your device.

Open in Excel

Selecting the ellipsis (…) next to Open in Excel, will allow you to Delete all Responses, Print a Summary, and generate a Summary Link to Share.

Preview and Present Options

Selecting Preview on the main Forms page will provide a Preview of the Poll.

Selecting Present will provide a couple of options to display the results in a presentation as a Bar Chart or Treemap.
