Canvas: Submit Turnitin Assignment

Submitting an assignment to Turnitin is the same Canvas upload process with which you may already be familiar.

Submit an Assignment

  1. Navigate to your Online@UT (Canvas) course.
     
  2. If available, select the Assignments link in the course navigation menu. Locate the assignment and select it to open.

    There are multiple ways to upload an assignment to Canvas:

    • Select the Upload button.
    • Drag and drop a file to the Drag a file here area or select the Choose a file to upload link and navigate to the file on your computer.
    • If your file exists in your Google Drive or Microsoft Office 365, select More and choose from where you would like to upload your assignment. If you have not previously authorized your Google Drive or Microsoft Office 365 account, you will be prompted to log in to access your files.
    • Select the Canvas Files button to upload a document stored in your Canvas User files.
       
  3. Once your document is uploaded, check the box to agree to the End-User License Agreement (EULA).
     
  4. Then, select the Submit Assignment button to submit your assignment.

Once submitted, a preview of the paper will open in the Canvas DocViewer with some details for you to examine. Check the preview and confirm that the correct file has been uploaded.
