I'm a student and I'd like to record to the Zoom Cloud. Is that available?

Yes. On our UT Zoom license, students may engage a Zoom Licensed (Pro) account and record to the Zoom Cloud. Some of the options available when recording to the Zoom Cloud are listed below. To access Zoom Cloud recordings, follow the steps below.

Access Your Zoom Cloud Recordings

  • Please go to tennessee.zoom.us and select "Create or Edit Account" to log in with a NetID and password.
  • Select Recordings on the menu, on the left.
  • Locate the recording on the Cloud recording list and select it to access the Share icon and additional options.

Options Available with Zoom Cloud Recordings

  • Access a shareable link to send to viewers who may stream the recording from the cloud
  • View (and edit) the audio transcript beside video of the recording
  • Access a log of chats that were posted during the recording
  • Password protect the recording

However, please keep in mind that Zoom Cloud storage is not permanent storage. Recordings will remain in the Zoom Cloud for 120 days after the the initial recording date. Zoom will start to notify the leader/host once the date of deletion approaches. Download the cloud recording and save it locally or, download and then upload it to another cloud storage location such as Google Drive, if you'd like to keep a copy of the recording.
