Overview
The pin feature allows you to deactivate the active speaker view and view a specific speaker/webcam broadcast more prominently on the screen. This will only change your personal Zoom meeting layout.
- You must have 2 or more participants broadcasting webcams in order to pin a participant video.
Similar to the pin feature, the spotlight feature allows meetings hosts to designate up to 9 participants as the primary active speakers. This option will change the Zoom meeting layout for all participants.
Instructions
Pin a Participant Video
- Move the mouse over the participant video you would like to pin.
- Select the blue square with the three-dots icon.
- Choose Pin.
- Up to 9 participant videos can be pinned.
- If you are using two monitors, you will have the option to pin the video on your first or second screen.
- To remove the pin, select Remove Pin in the upper-left corner of the webcam video.
Spotlight a Participant Video
- Move the mouse over the participant video you would like to spotlight.
- Select the blue square with the three-dots icon.
- Choose Spotlight for Everyone.
- Up to 9 participant videos can be spotlighted.
- To remove a spotlight, choose Remove Spotlight in the upper-left corner of the webcam video.
