Microsoft Teams: Add People to a Chat

Overview

In MS Teams, you can add participants to your chats. You can choose whether they see the chat history, or not. 

Instructions

1. Go to the top right corner of the chat you want to add a person to and select the icon for participants.

2. Enter the person’s name you wish to add. 
   NOTE: Verify that their NetID is the same as the person you are looking for when it appears below their name while you are adding them. 
3. You can choose for the new person to see the chat history or not. In the screen where you can add their name, you can choose how much of the history to include.  

4. Select Add when finished.
