Troubleshooting
We recommend using a desktop or laptop whenever possible for the best in-meeting experience. Tools available in the Zoom session can depend on the Zoom version and the device being used at the time. For example, mobile app users may not have access to all annotation tools.
If the Annotate icon is not available on the Share Screen toolbar, please try the following troubleshooting steps.
Upgrade to the latest version of Zoom
- Go to tennessee.zoom.us.
- Select Download Zoom (located on the bottom-left of the page).
Review your UT Zoom account settings and toggle the Annotation setting to On
- Go to tennessee.zoom.us.
- Select Create or Edit Account to log in with your NetID and password.
- Choose Settings in the left-side menu.
- Locate the In Meeting (Basic) section, and toggle Annotation to On.
Accessing the Share Screen Toolbar
- The Share Screen toolbar only appears during a Share Screen activity.
- To engage the Annotation tools, be sure to share a content item or the whiteboard.
