Faculty & Staff: Email and Calendaring Now in Microsoft Outlook
OIT has migrated all faculty and staff email and calendaring from Gmail to Microsoft Outlook. Email, calendars, and contacts have been copied from Google to Outlook, and all services are now hosted in Outlook.
Changes to Google Drive: While Google Drive and Forms will remain available to faculty, staff, and students, OIT will significantly reduce the storage available.
- OIT will help faculty and staff move their files from Drive to OneDrive and Teams.
- If your department wants assistance with transitioning to OneDrive, please contact us online, and our project team will reach out to discuss the timeline.
There are several steps you can take now to help you prepare for this transition.
- Use Microsoft resources for new projects, initiatives, and files.
- Identify where you are using UT Google services in your daily work.
- Clean up your Google Drive by deleting files you no longer need.
- Clean up your Gmail account by deleting old emails you no longer need.
- Request Departmental Training for customized workshops on our supported Microsoft 365 applications.
