Canvas: Embedding a Video Link in an Assignment Using Canvas Studio

Overview

There are a few steps to follow when uploading and embedding a video link in an assignment using Canvas Studio.

Instructions

  1. Record your video using OIT-recommended video recordings, such as Zoom, Panopto, or Mobile device.
     
  2. Upload your video to Canvas Studio.
     
  3. Find the video on My Library. Then select the three vertical dots (Option icon) in the bottom-right corner of the video thumbnail. Select Share Media.

4. To retrieve the link that you need to embed in an assignment, select Links > Create Public Link.

 

5. Copy the Embed code and paste into your assignment HTML/Embedded Content box.
