Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do we change/add group managers/privileges?
Managers of the NetReg Group will either have Read-Only or Read/Wright privileges. Unlike previous NetReg, there are no multiple privilege sets. The privileges will be set based on the membership of the AD Groups that are tied to the NetReg Group.

Can subnet managers assign static or dhcp_reserved addresses?
Yes, if you have access to the subnet, you can configure static, dhcp_reserved, or dhcp_dynamic devices.
Is there a limit on the number of NetReg Group managers?
No, we do not limit the number of possible managers for a group.
What is the purpose of having Read-Only access in NetReg?
The Read-Only mapping is for when you want members of the AD Group to not be able to modify items belonging to the resource group but still read them. For example, NR_deptstaff_RW can have READ/WRITE, whereas NR_deptstudents_RO may only need to read the resources that are tied to the department's group in NetReg.
Will the AD permissions groups affect computers and objects in Active Directory?
No, the AD groups are only used for permissions to NetReg and do not affect computers and objects in Active Directory in any way.
