Zoom: Did Not Receive Confirmation Email

The new UT Zoom account confirmation email may be marked as spam, or junk, in the email application. If the reply from "no-reply@zoom.us" (or a similar address) does not appear in the Inbox after you activate your account via our UT Zoom page at tennessee.zoom.us, please follow the steps below to explore the Junk or Spam folders.

First, review the Junk and/or Spam folders in the mail application for the confirmation email. The Junk/Spam folders may be located near the bottom of the mail items menu, on the left of the screen.

If the mail confirmation does not appear to be in the Junk or Spam folders, review the settings, and then reach out to OIT and we can assist with resending the email after the settings have been reviewed. The information below may be helpful and provides details on working specifically with Gmail spam settings and contacts.

Mark incorrectly classified messages as Not spam

  • Gmail uses machine learning to better understand your preferences, and to recognize spam. When you manually mark a message as not spam, Gmail learns how to manage messages addressed to you.
