Downloading Microsoft Office

Microsoft 365 / Office

Active, enrolled students are eligible to install Microsoft Office on five (5) personally owned computers through their UTK Microsoft 365 account. To download Office, log in to your UTK Microsoft 365 account at https://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx or follow the instructions in the Knowledge Base article Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus: Installation for Windows and Mac.

VolTech

• Students may also purchase Microsoft Office from VolTech if more than 5 licenses are needed.

Faculty and Staff

For Personally-Owned Computers:

Microsoft 365 / Office

• Most active faculty & staff can download Microsoft Office on five (5) personally owned machines through their UTK Microsoft 365 account.  Learn more about Office 365 ProPlus eligibility.
• Emeritus and retired faculty, and sponsored users are not included in this offering from Microsoft.

For University-Owned Computers

• The Microsoft Office suite for PC and Mac can be downloaded from the OIT Software Distribution Website for installation on any university-owned equipment.
