MyUTK Financial Aid Document Upload Error - Password Protected PDF Detected

Overview

Error: Password-protected PDF detected when uploading myUTK Financial Aid Documents. The documents do not ask for a password on when opened on the computer but give an error when trying to upload to myUTK. 

Information

1. Open the PDF, causing the error in a web browser. 
2. To do so, right-click the file, hover over Open With, then select your preferred web browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
3. With the PDF open, use the Print option in your browser to open the dialog for printing. 
4. Look for the option to Print to PDF. This will vary by browser.
5. Choose where to save the file and give it a name.
6. Last, upload the copy you just created to MyUTK.
