Canvas Catalog: Access Your Course

To access the course(s) in which you are already enrolled:

1. Visit UT Canvas Catalog.
2. Select Login or Create Guest Account in the upper right-hand corner.
3. Select your login option and follow the instructions on the screen to log in:
   • Log in with UTK NetID – UTK users, enter your UTK NetID and password.
   • Log in without UTK NetID – Non-UTK users, enter the email address and password you used to create your UT Canvas Catalog account.
4. You will access the Student Dashboard page that lists courses and programs in which you are enrolled.
   • Note: Student Dashboard is also available by selecting Student Dashboard in the drop-down menu next to your name in the upper right-hand corner. For more information, review the guide called How do I use the Student Dashboard in Catalog?
5. Select the In Progress tab. The In Progress page lists Courses and Programs.
   • The Courses section displays short descriptions of the individual courses in which you are enrolled.
     • Select the Begin Course or the Resume Course button next to the course title.
   • If you are enrolled in a program, the Programs section displays your program details. View the courses included in the program in the Requirements list, below the program description.
     • Available program courses display a Begin Course button.
     • Courses you have started display a Resume Course button.
     • If a course is not yet available, the course image displays a lock icon. 
6. You will be taken to the selected Canvas course. When in Canvas, you can go back to Student Dashboard by selecting the Dashboard icon in the global navigation menu (a vertical purple toolbar in Canvas).
