Error
Instructors may receive the error message "Unable to Communicate with PointSolutions Server" when trying to launch the PointSolutions app to start an exam.
NOTE: Quizzes that were created in the desktop app cannot be launched from the PointSolutions website. Switching from one to the other requires recreating the quiz manually. For short quizzes with only a few questions, this might be a viable option if the solutions below do not work.
Solutions
- Check for problems with network connectivity.
- Log out of the app and then log in again.
- Restart the app and your computer.
- Uninstall/reinstall the PointSolutions app.
- The error may go away on its own after a while.
