Duo 2FA: Generate Bypass Codes

If you can log in with your NetID and password and authenticate via 2FA, you can generate a 30-day bypass code for yourself. You may also bookmark the Duo Bypass Code Generator page to create a new bypass code before your current code expires.

1. Go to the Duo Bypass Code Generator.
2. Enter your NetID and Password, and click Login.
3. Select an ID for your UT ID Number, enter your birthdate, then click Continue.
4. If prompted by Duo Two-Factor, send a push or enter a Passcode from your Duo app or token.
5. Your new 30-Day Passcode will be displayed on the screen. This passcode will replace any previously created codes. OIT recommends you write down, take a picture, or print a copy of this page for your records. Once you navigate away from this page, you cannot retrieve your passcode.

6. Select Okay when finished.
