Overview
On the Google Groups web interface, the icon in the upper left corner of the webpage will denote the current view; the Google logo is for the Public View/Domain and the UT logo is for the UTK View/Domain. If you are in the Public View, you can click on the switch organization view link to view your UTK groups list. The UTK list will include any groups created in the utk.edu organization, including any email-enabled AD groups that you own or belong to as a member. You can create groups in either the public view or the UTK view.
