IRIS: Setting Up an IRIS Designated Printer

Most networked printers can be set up as an IRIS designated printer.

  1. ​Make sure that your printer meets the requirements to be set up as a IRIS designated printer.
  2. Use transaction Z_PRINTER_REQUEST - Request an IRIS system printer to submit the request in IRIS.
  3. The user who submits the request will receive an email with the IRIS printer name when setup is complete. 

Tip: Locate all information needed to complete the e-form before you begin completing the request. Contact your IT Support person if you need assistance determining the IP Name and IP Address of the printer.

Next Step: Use transaction SU3 - Maintain Own Data to set it as your default printer device in IRIS.
