New Admit Email Access Issues

If you applied to more than one University of Tennessee campus, your student email account may have been created at a campus you don’t plan to attend.

To check your email address:

  1. Log in to MyUTK.
  2. Open the Personal Information module.
  3. Review your student email address and confirm it matches the campus you plan to attend.

For UT Knoxville students, your email address should end in @vols.utk.edu.

You may be affected if:

  • Outlook says your account is not recognized or does not exist.
  • Your student email address does not end in @vols.utk.edu, but you plan to attend UT Knoxville.

If you will be attending UT Knoxville and your email address doesn’t end in @vols.utk.eduSubmit a New Admit Email Access Issues Request to start the correction process. 

The @tennessee.edu Email Alias

Every UT student, staff, and faculty member has an email alias that ends with @tennessee.edu. This alias directs messages to the same Inbox and is sometimes used to log into UT services like Zoom. Communication from the office, such as the Bursar, is usually sent to your netid@tennessee.edu address for matters like your enrollment fee.
