Overview
GitHub is a code hosting platform for version control and collaboration. Using Git, it provides:
- Distributed version control
- Source code management
- Access control
- Bug tracking
- Feature request
Access
For new members, please submit a request online to create a new organization. Please include:
- Department or Team name ( will be in the format of Campus-Department-Team. Ex. for OIT Windows Systems: utk-oit-sys-win )
- Billing Account Number ( used for Copilot, Actions, etc. )
- Organization Owner NetID’s
- Organization Member NetID’s
Once the request has been resolved, you and any other members can log in at https://github.com/enterprises/UTENN-EMU with your NetID and password.

This is a private Enterprise Managed Users GitHub instance hosted by GitHub. Organizations and repositories hosted here are not accessible to the public. However, external users can be issued a sponsored account and given access to their respective organization(s).
