NetID and Password
Once your NetID is listed in the Go Vols portal, you can set up your NetID and Password. If your NetID is not yet listed, it should appear within a week of receiving your Admissions email. OIT and One Stop are unable to help you find your NetID and set up your password if it is not yet listed in the Go Vols portal. Don't worry, just check back every day!
Go Vols Portal
If you are unable to log into the Go Vols Portal, it uses a separate email address and password than your NetID. If you have forgot your password, on the Go Vols portal, click the "Forgot Your Password?" link.
First Time Password Setup
This option is used to set up your first password. If you have already had a password on the account, you will need to use a different reset option.
- Go to the NetID Initial Password Setup Option site, enter your NetID, and click Continue.
- Select an ID and choose SSN (Last4) or Student ID #, enter the selected number, then birth date, then click Continue.
- Next, you'll go through the Duo Two-Factor Authentication setup (continue below).
- You will then have the option to setup your security questions. These are used in the event your password expires or is forgotten.
- Lastly, you will be prompted to create and verify your new password.
Duo Two-Factor Authentication
When you set up your password for the first time you'll also register for our two-factor authentication service called Duo. Be sure to go all the way to the end of the process until you see "You have successfully enabled two-factor authentication for your NetID account."

Financial Aid
If you are currently unable to see the "Accept Award Offer" option in your "My Financial Information" section of your MyUTK, you can also get to your offer through the steps below:
- Log into MyUTK.
- Select the "Banner Self-Service" link in your "My Resources" tab.
- Click the "Financial Aid" tab within the Banner page to view your offer.
