Overview
Ivanti Secure Access is the client for connecting to the SSL-VPN from a Windows or Mac. These instructions walk you through connecting to the VPN through your web browser.
How To
- Download and install the Ivanti Secure Access application found under the VPN section of the OIT Software Download Site.
- In a web browser, navigate to https://access.utk.edu, sign in with your NetID and password, and proceed through Duo Two-Factor Authentication.
- On the following page, find the "Ivanti Secure Access" option and click the "Start" button next to it.
- If you have not connected to the VPN using access.utk.edu, you will need to download the Ivanti Secure Access Application Launcher. You can do so on the page that opens by clicking the "Download" button and running the file that is downloaded.
- After downloading the launcher, you may be redirected to the screen above. This time, you may be prompted to open the application launcher. We recommend clicking "Remember" or "Always" when those options are available.
- At this point, the Ivanti Secure Access application should be running, and the VPN should be connected. You can verify this by opening your system tray (Windows) or Menu bar (Mac) and finding the Ivanti Secure Access icon. If the icon has a green arrow next to it, this indicates that the VPN is connected.
