Overview
Microsoft has recently updated its policies for Microsoft 365. As a result, there are some changes to how you can use certain third-party add-ons, plugins, and apps with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
What’s Changing?
- You will still be able to use approved enterprise applications like Zoom, Salesforce, Calendly, Slack, RingCentral, and Acrobat Reader.
- However, individual apps such as Grammarly and Skylight will not be added or integrated with Microsoft 365 at this time.
- If you’re already using a third-party plugin, you can continue using it. These changes apply only to new requests to add apps.
Need Access to an Enterprise App?
If you need access to an enterprise application that isn’t currently approved, please submit a request online, and the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team will review your request.
To ensure the availability of future integrations with Microsoft products, submit the Data and Technology Risk Review request before you purchase new software. The Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance team reviews technology purchases, changes, renewals, contract language, data integrations, and other requests to ensure compliance with technical and cybersecurity standards and other statutory requirements.
