Step 1: Install and set up GPay and GET app
- Instructions for installing the Google Pay (GPay) app
- In the Play Store, search for GET and install the GET Mobile app. If you are using the GET app for mobile dining, you can skip to Step 2.

Step 2: Add your Volcard to the GET app
- Open the GET app.
- First-Time Users:
- Select The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
- Log in with your NetID and Password
- You will be prompted to create a passcode. When you open GET in the future, you’ll be prompted to enter the passcode to get in.
- Once logged into GET, choose Add to GPay.
- Agree to the terms and conditions.
- If you have a pop-up that asks what you want to open the ID with, select GPay. For some, GPay will open automatically.
*If your Android phone does not allow building access, verify NFC is enabled on the device.
Instructions vary by device, but generally you can check the NFC settings by opening the Settings menu and then searching for "nfc"
