Instructions
The default length for videos is 15 minutes. Best practice standards recommend creating videos 10 minutes or less. Plan to chunk your video lectures. If you have a rare need to go longer than 15 minutes, you must change your Channel settings to enable longer videos.
- Click the Creator Studio button in the upper right corner of YouTube.
- From the Creator Studio menu on left, click Channel to change your channel settings.
- Click the Enable button next to Longer videos.
- Follow the steps to verify the account with a phone. You can choose between receiving the verification code through a text message (mobile phone) or an automated voice call.
