TeamDynamix: Requesting a New TDX Ticketing Instance

Overview

This article outlines the requirements, costs, and process for departments interested in implementing the TeamDynamix (TDX) ticketing system.

Cost

Item Cost Frequency
Initial Setup, Training, and First-Year Support $2,000 One-time
Ongoing Annual Support (Year 2+) $1,000 Annual

Setup and Support

What's included in initial setup:

  • System configuration for your department's ticketing workflows
  • Admin training ("train-the-admin" model)
  • First year of annual support included

What's included in ongoing annual support:

  • Access to the support team for troubleshooting and guidance
  • Assistance with configuration questions as your needs evolve

Getting Started

  1. Stakeholder Demo: A one-hour demo is scheduled with the requesting department and its key stakeholders to review TDX's capabilities and confirm fit before moving forward.
  2. Leadership Buy-In: Departmental leadership should be informed and supportive of the initiative before implementation begins. This helps ensure a smoother rollout and reduces confusion or pushback from end users once the system goes live.
  3. Admin Designation: The department should identify one or more staff members who will serve as the TDX admin(s) and complete training.

Implementation Timeline

  • Duration: Typically 6–8 weeks
  • Model: "Train-the-admin" — your designated admin(s) are trained to independently configure and manage the ticketing application, rather than relying on the central team to build it out for you.
  • Post-Implementation: Once training is complete, the central support team remains available as a resource for troubleshooting and questions. Day-to-day administration, configuration changes, and maintenance are owned by the department's own staff.

FAQ

Q: Can we skip the demo if we already know we want TDX?

A: Yes, but a demo is still recommended, as it helps align expectations and ensures key stakeholders understand the system before committing resources to implementation.

Q: Who maintains the system long-term?

A: Your department's trained admin(s) handle day-to-day management. The central team remains available for support but does not perform daily administration on your behalf.
