Microsoft Teams: Installing the Teams App for iOS devices

Overview

This brief article will walk you through adding the Teams App to your iOS device.

Instructions

  1. Open your device's App Store.

  1. Select Search.
  2. Enter Teams in the search entry box.

  1. Select Get.
  2. Select Download.
  3. Select Open.

  1. Enter your NetID@tennessee.edu formatted email.
  2. Select Next.

  1. Enter your UTK password.
  2. Select Sign In.

  1. Authenticate via Duo Mobile:  Select Open Duo Mobile.

  1. Confirm use of your device.

Identify who uses the device for future logins with Duo.

 

  1. Select Allow or Not Allow Notifications from Teams.

  1. Select Next to move through the next four Teams Overview screens.

  1. Select your options for several Teams settings, ex. How to Use your Location, Allow Nearby Devices, and Access Location (similar to the image below)

Your Teams mobile app is ready to use.

  • Activity: Notifications for activity in Chats, Teams, and Channels will appear here.
  • Chat:  Connect with individuals or groups.
  • Team: A list of Teams you are a member of or own.
  • Three-dot menu: Additional options within Teams.
