Overview
When I select different options in Banner 9 Administrative, an error message appears stating "Authentication failed - Problem in external authentication service."

Firefox - Update Cookie Settings
- Open Firefox and click the menu button in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- In the left sidebar, click Privacy & Security.
- Scroll to Enhanced Tracking Protection.
- Select Custom.
- Click Customize tracking protection if needed.
- Turn on Cookies and choose Cross-site tracking cookies or Block cross-site cookies, depending on your Firefox version.
- Reload the page and try signing in to Banner again.
Chrome - Clear Cache
- Open Chrome.
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Go to Delete browsing data.
- Shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + Delete on Windows/ChromeOS
- Command + Shift + Delete on Mac
- In the Time range dropdown, choose:
- Last hour, 24 hours, 7 days, 4 weeks, or
- All time to clear everything
- Check Cached images and files.
- Optionally uncheck Browsing history and Cookies and other site data if you only want to clear cache.
- Click Delete data.
