SharePoint: Enable Site Viewers

SharePoint Viewers Setting

The SharePoint Viewers setting allows you to see the names of people who have viewed your files or pages and the last date that they viewed on. This is a good way to see if your content is reaching your target audience. Viewer data is only available through individual page details and not in a reporting format.

How to Enable the SharePoint Viewers Setting

(You need to be a Site Owner or ask your IT Administrator to turn on this feature.)
  1. Go to Site Settings > Site Information
  2. Click View all site settings
SharePoint settings panel highlighting the Site information option in the navigation list.
SharePoint Site Information panel showing site name, description, hub association, and settings link.
  3. Under Site Actions click Manage Site Features
Site Actions menu highlighting the Manage site features option in SharePoint settings.
