Zoom: Zoom AI Companion

Overview

The Zoom AI Companion includes features such as meeting summary, interactive content creation with new whiteboards, and recording highlights. Select this link to review the latest information from Zoom regarding the Zoom AI Companion and the features available. 

• To get started with activating the AI Companion in your UT Zoom account, review the AI Companion section in your account settings.
• Then, during the meeting, select the AI Companion icon on the toolbar.

Instructions

Activate the Zoom AI Companion Features in Your Account

1. Go to tennessee.zoom.us. 
2. Select Create or Log In.
   • Use your UPN as your username: 
     • Your UPN is the email address used to sign in to UT services, such as email, typically in this format:
     • Faculty and Staff: Use NetID@utk.edu 
     • Students: Use NetID@vols.utk.edu 
     • Look up your UPN online if you aren’t sure which email address you should be using
   • Password: Your NetID Password
3. After logging in, select Settings in the left-side menu. Then, select AI Companion at the top of window.
4. For the options you want to activate, click the toggle button to turn them on. For example, turn on meeting summary and/or smart chapters for cloud recordings.

After enabling AI Companion features, select the AI Companion icon at the top of the meeting interface.

Zoom's new AI Companion 3.0 on the web can assist with analyzing meeting content. For example, prompt the companion to review your presentation from a meeting and receive a Coaching Report on your biggest successes or a list of what may need more work to improve the presentation. Follow the steps below to get started. This version of Zoom's AI Companion is only available on the web interface (tennessee.zoom.us).

1. Go to tennessee.zoom.us. 
2. Select Create or Log In.
   • Use your UPN as your username: 
     • Your UPN is the email address used to sign in to UT services, such as email, typically in this format:

     • Students: Use NetID@vols.utk.edu 
     • Look up your UPN online if you aren’t sure which email address you should be using
   • Password: Your NetID Password
3. After logging in, select AI Companion NEW in the left-side menu. A new browser tab should open.
4. Choose the AI option you wish to explore and choose your content. For example, for a Coaching Report on a meeting you lead, choose Coaching and Meeting Coach from the options in the middle. Upload or choose your content to analyze with the + (plus) symbol on the left, and then select the Go arrow on the right to generate the report.
