Microsoft Teams: Polls

Overview

Microsoft Teams provides Polls that will assist you with surveying or increasing engagement within your Teams meetings, chats, or channel posts.

Information

While in a Teams meeting you can survey your audience or increase their engagement by creating a poll using Microsoft’s Polls app for Teams. Or use Polls as a quick formative assessment in the moment! Whatever your reason, Microsoft Polls in Teams is easy to use, set up, and provides a great source of information!

The app can easily be added to a channel or chat, added while scheduling a meeting or during a meeting, or even added after the meeting!  You can create five different types of polling questions in advance or while the meeting is taking place, add images to the polls, use one of three instant Polls within a meeting, or use one of the many suggested Polls available. Polls provide features enabling you to view the results immediately and options to allow your audience to view them as well. By default, answers to the poll are anonymous; however, you can elect to collect the names prior to sharing the poll with your audience. Results are collected within the Microsoft Forms application under “My Forms”.
