Overview
This article provides instructions for removing Adobe Creative Cloud and replacing it with Adobe Reader DC.
Instructions
macOS
- Click on your Desktop.
- Click Go in the upper right corner of your screen.
- Click Applications.
- Find all the Adobe Applications and drag them to the trash.
- Empty the trash.
- Restart the computer.
- Download Adobe Reader DC from get.adobe.com.
- Follow the installation instructions.
- Launch Acrobat Reader DC.
- Click Yes when it asks if you want to make Acrobat Reader DC the default application to view PDFs.
Windows
- Click the Start button in the lower-left corner of your screen.
- Click the Settings gear icon on the left side of the menu.
- Click Apps and Features.
- Click the three-dot next to Adobe Acrobat.
- Click Uninstall.
- (You can do this for all Adobe Applications)
- Restart the computer.
- Download Adobe Reader DC from get.adobe.com.
- Follow the installation instructions.
- Launch Acrobat Reader DC.
- Click Yes when it asks if you want to make Acrobat Reader DC the default application to view PDFs.
