Examples of Event-Related calls and who to dispatch:
- Customer calls in needing bollards removed on sidewalk leading to HSS Plaza so All Occasions can set up tents on the Humanities Lawn. > Call Landscape/Grounds (Matt McConnell).
- Customer calls in needing an air wall removed in the ANR Ballroom to open up the space. > Call Zone Maintenance. They have the special key needed to open the air wall.
- Customer is having issues with the built-in speakers and A/V equipment in the Toyota Auditorium at the Baker School. > TRICK QUESTION: We do not service built-in speakers/A/V equipment. The customer should call OIT for this issue.
- Customer calls in saying the sprinklers are going off on Circle Park during their event and they need them turned off. > Call Landscape/Grounds (Curtis Pique – Turf Manager, or Matt McConnell).
- Customer forgot to request additional trash and recycling bins in advance, and is serving catering to 500 people on the Student Union Plaza. > Call Recycling (Brad Moats) or Building Services.
- Customer has rented the Facilities-owned restroom trailers and the toilets are overflowing. > Call Plumbing (Ed Oliveri or Todd Curnutt).
- Customer forgot to request tables and chairs ahead of time, and is hosting a catered dinner for 100 people in Haslam Atrium. They need tables and chairs ASAP. > Call Moving & Events Team (Chris Mabe).
- Customer has ice cream coolers on Ayres Lawn for their event and forgot to request power & extensions cords to plug them in. All the ice cream is melting! > Call Chris Fritts (Moving & Events – Electrical & Sound Tech) or Electrical.
- Customer is having an event and spilled a large drink dispenser of sweet tea on the floor they need help cleaning up. > Call Rebecca Cinnamon or the associated Building Services Foreman for that Zone/Building.
- Customer states they put in a request to have The Rock painted pink, and they received a confirmation email from Facilities Event Services, but when they arrived for their event, The Rock had not been painted. > Call Ronnie Couch (Paint Shop).
