Some users have reported that they cannot see the “Book for a Guest” option in GetThere. This is particularly important when departments need to book travel for the following.
- Non-employed students
- Non-UT affiliated individuals
- Individuals set up as Contingent Workers in DASH
Due to the way GetThere is configured for the University of Tennessee, the “Book for a Guest” feature is not available. UT requires that certain information for contingent workers and guest travelers remain restricted, and GetThere cannot currently hide this information if the feature is enabled.
As a result, online booking for guests cannot be completed in GetThere.
To book travel for these individuals:
- Call or email World Travel directly to arrange the booking.
- Once booked, you may still submit and manage expense reports as a delegate in DASH. For more information on Adding and Managing Delegates please review this Adding and Managing Delegates Job Aid.
