UT's previous Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system – IRIS – was implemented in 2001. While this system served the university well, the technology landscape has evolved tremendously since that time and is continuing to change rapidly; increasing in complexity and demanding agility to continue to meet goals, better secure our data, and to serve UT employees and students in the best way possible. Because of these reasons, UT took advantage of the opportunity to upgrade the operating system by choosing Oracle Cloud as the preferred vendor for the new ERP.
