Instructions:
1. Touch the screen and press the power button:
2. The screen will show several buttons. First, you can turn the display on and off:
3. Your volume comes from the TV, and you can control this here:
4. If you want to use the display from your personal Windows device, you will connect your device to the technology by using the HDMI cable located at the instructor podium. You will then change the display setting here:
*MAC USERS DO NOT HAVE THE OPTION TO CONNECT TO THE HDMI CABLE AS THE TECHNOLOGY IS NOT COMPATIBLE*
5. If you wish to record, you start by filling in every field on the Extron, and it is IMPERATIVE that you enter your NetID in the instructor field. Your recording will not go to your Canvas media gallery if you do not enter your NetID:
6. Press record when you are ready:
7. When you are done recording, press stop:
8. When you are done with class, turn the system off.
IMPORTANT:
- Recording should appear in your My Media in Canvas. Please give longer recordings up to 24 hours to process within your media gallery.
- If you do not see your recording in My Media within 24 hours, you may have entered an incorrect NetID. Please reach out so that we can correct the error and get you access to the recording.
