YuJa Verity: Enabling the Secondary Camera Requirement

Summary

Includes steps for instructors on how to enable the Secondary Camera on a YuJa Verity-enabled Canvas quiz.

Body

Overview

Requiring a secondary camera allows proctors to assess a broader view of the student's test-taking environment in addition to the built-in camera on the student's laptop or computer.

Once enabled, students will be required to use a secondary camera during the quiz. This provides proctors with an additional view of the student's testing environment beyond the primary camera on the student's device.

The following steps explain how to enable the secondary camera requirement for an individual Canvas quiz.

Note: This setting is only available when proctoring with the Browser Extension.

Edit the Verity Configuration

  1. If the Canvas quiz has already been created, open the quiz and select Edit.
  2. Navigate to the quiz Settings. (New Quizzes: Build > Settings)
  3. Under the Verity settings, select Configure Settings.
