Overview

The University of Tennessee System provides employees with 24/7 online access to W‑2 statements through ADP — the payroll, human resources and tax service provider contracted by the university to manage specific payroll‑related services, including W‑2 statements. Once registered through ADP, employees can view and print their W‑2 statement at any time.

Note: Your ADP username and password will be different from your NetID and password. Please save this username and password for easy access in the future.

How to Register for ADP W‑2 Services:

  1. Visit https://my.adp.com.
  2. Select Get Started.
  3. Choose I Have a Registration Code.
  4. Enter the registration code: UTENN-REGISTER.
  5. Enter your name and confirm W‑2 Services is selected.
  6. Complete the required identity verification using:
    1. Tax Year
    2. Employee ID (8‑digit personnel number, including leading zeros)
    3. Company code: 56H
    4. Employee’s ZIP code
    5. Full Social Security Number

Visit Payroll's Step-by-step Guide

Employees will also be asked to complete one additional verification step, such as confirming a U.S. mobile phone number or email address. During registration, employees will create a password and receive a system-generated User ID. Once registration is complete, please consider bookmarking https://my.adp.com for future access.

Important Reminder
Paper W‑2 statements will also be mailed to all employees by the end of January using the address on file in DASH as of Jan. 15, 2026.

Known Issues

  • If you are having problems with your ADP registration due to an invalid phone number, this is a known issue, and Payroll is working with ADP to resolve it.
  • If you receive a message about a security checkpoint when trying to log in after just registering with ADP, please wait 10-15 minutes and try again.
