Microsoft Teams: Enable Intelligent Recap

Overview

Intelligent recap in Microsoft Teams Premium is a feature that leverages AI to provide a comprehensive overview of your meetings. It helps users save time by automatically generating meeting notes, recommended tasks, and personalized highlights. This feature is available in Teams for Mac or PC, and in Outlook for PC (not yet available in New Outlook).

Teams

1. Open your calendar in Teams.
2. Right click (Ctrl+click on Mac) the meeting and select Edit. If the meeting is a recurring meeting, you'll need to choose to either edit the single occurrence or the whole series.
3. From the top bar in Teams, choose Meeting Options. This will open your browser and request that you sign in to your UTK email account.
   1. Note: If Meeting Options doesn't appear, choose the ellipses menu (...), then select Meeting Options.
4. Choose Recording & Transcription on the left.
5. Enable "Record and transcribe automatically" then choose Save.
    

Outlook for PC

1. Open your Outlook calendar.
2. Right click the meeting, then choose open. If a recurring meeting, choose to open either the Occurrence or the whole series.
3. From the Meeting or Meeting Series tab on the Ribbon, choose Meeting Options.
4. Choose "Recording & Transcription"
5. Enable "Record and transcribe automatically" then choose Save.
