A Zoom Docs file can contain text, images, and links, and can be shared within a meeting. Much like a Zoom Whiteboard, Zoom Docs also allow for simultaneous collaboration. Be sure to have the latest version of the Zoom Workplace desktop application installed on your device for the best experience working with new features.
Zoom Docs details:
- Zoom Docs are available via the Zoom Workplace desktop application and the web page at tennessee.zoom.us.
- Zoom Docs save to the Zoom cloud.
- Zoom Docs may be shared within the Zoom meeting and they may also be shared outside of the meeting, via a share link (permissions can be changed by the Doc Owner).
Getting Started:
- Review your UT Zoom account settings and activate Zoom Docs.
- Please go to tennessee.zoom.us and select Create or Log In.
- Use your UPN as your username:
- Your UPN is the email address used to sign in to UT services, such as email, typically in this format:
- Faculty and Staff: Use NetID@utk.edu
- Students: Use NetID@vols.utk.edu
- Look up your UPN online if you aren’t sure which email address you should be using
- Password: Your NetID Password
- After logging in, select Settings.
- Select the Docs tab at the top and adjust features as desired.

- Zoom Docs are available via the UT Zoom page and the Zoom Workplace desktop application.
- After logging into your account on tennessee.zoom.us, select the Docs menu item on the left.
- In the Zoom Workplace desktop application, select the More icon along the top, and then choose Docs.
