While each college, department, and institute reserves the right to determine how to best use their funds to purchase equipment, please contact OIT before purchasing the following devices and attempting to connect them to the campus network.
- Audio visual devices (digital signage, conferencing, etc)
- Security device (cameras, card access, etc)
- Point of sale devices
- VoIP devices (hard phones)
- Printers
- Consumer electronics (soundbars, smart home devices, etc)
Contacting OIT for guidance prior to purchasing these devices will enable OIT support staff to provide the highest level of support regarding connecting to the campus network or any other challenges that may arise.
