JMP Student Edition 18 Instructions

1. Create a MyJMP account at jmp.com/student. If you already have an account, skip to step 4.
    
   • Choose "Get JMP for Free!"
   • Choose Create a My JMP Account.
   • Choose Sign Up/Login.
   • Fill out your name and UT email address, then choose Sign Up.
   • Enter the verification code that will be sent to your UT email.
   • Read and Accept the Terms of Use (If Prompted), then choose continue.
      
2. Provide the requested information regarding your use, then choose Submit and Authenticate.
    
3. Choose Start to verify your academic status.
    
   • Enter University of Tennessee as the name of your institution, and select it from the list provided in the drop down.
   • Log in with your NetID and NetID password.
      
4. Navigate to https://store.jmp.com/subscription/license/view/ to access the software downloads page.
    
   • Select the JMP Subscription Installer Download via My JMP link.
   • Choose JMP Student Edition
   • Choose the Windows or Mac Installer.
      
5. Follow the instructions in the installer (video below).
    
6. After launching JMP, log in using your UT email address.
    
   • JMP will send an email to your UT email with a software verification code.

JMP Pro 17

Windows JMP Pro 17 Instructions

1. Download the Installer:

   • Obtain the JMP Pro installer from the OIT software distribution website.
   • Make sure to download the correct version for your operating system, 64-bit (most common) or 32-bit.

2. Extract Files:

   • Locate the downloaded file, which will often be in a compressed format (ZIP).
   • Right-click on the ZIP file and choose "Extract All" to unzip it into a folder.

3. Run Installation:

   • Open the extracted folder and find the setup executable (usually called setup.exe).
   • Double-click on setup.exe to start the installation process.

4. Install Software:

   • Follow the prompts in the installation wizard. Accept the license agreement when prompted.
   • Choose a destination folder or use the default location provided.

5. Enter License Information:

   • When prompted for licensing details, enter your license key or point to where your license file is located. This should have been provided by UT when you obtained JMP Pro.

6. Complete Installation:

   • Continue following any further prompts until completion, then finish up and close out of the installer.

7. Launch JMP Pro:

   • Start JMP Pro via its shortcut on your desktop or from your program files to ensure it is installed correctly.

8. Register Product (if required):

   • Register your product if this is requested upon first launch.

Mac JMP Pro 17 Instructions

1. Download Installer & License File:

   • As with Windows, download both from UT’s software portal.

2. Mount DMG File:

   • Find the downloaded .dmgfile in Finder and double-click on it to mount it as a drive.

3. Install Application:

   • Drag-and-drop JMP Pro application into your Applications folder within Finder.

4. Apply License File:

   • Upon first launch, you may be prompted to select a license file which you should have available from your initial download.
