Microsoft Teams: Pin a Chat Message within a Conversation

Overview

These instructions cover pinning an individual message within a Microsoft Teams chat conversation. You may wish to pin a chat message for everyone in your chat conversation to refer back to you. You may have only one chat message pinned at a time. If you pin another message, it will replace the currently pinned message. If you unpin a message or pin a different message and need to find the old message, you can still run a search for the message contents from the top of the page search bar.

Instructions

1. Hover over the message you want to pin to view the emoticon and ellipsis ... menu.
2. Go to the ellipsis ... menu on the message you want to pin.
3. Select Pin.
