Gmail: Create Contact Group

Overview

This article provides instructions for creating a contact group list in Gmail.

NOTE: Contact groups are referred to as "Labels" in Gmail. 

Instructions

1. Go to contacts.google.com and sign in to your account. 
2. Click Create Label in the left-side menu. 
   
3. Enter a name for the contact group and click Save. 
4. In your main contacts list, mouse over the contacts you want to add to the group and click the box. 
5. After you select contacts, you will see a label icon above the contacts list. Click the icon. 
   
6. Click the name of the contact group you just created and click Apply. 
   
7. In the left-side menu, click the name of the contact group to view the contacts added to the group.
